Unlocking multiple regional-scale structures
A 45,000m drill program is underway at the Pickle Crow Gold Project with the objective of delivering an updated Mineral Resource estimate in the June quarter of 2021. A$3m of the current budget has been allocated to complete preliminary testing of the high-quality exploration targets within the 496km2 of regional tenure held by Auteco.
Data compilation and a review of available historic drill core over the greater tenement package has been completed, which identified multiple shallow drill-ready regional targets associated with four major mineralised shear zones within the Pickle Crow project area:
Tarp Lake Shear
A regional scale shear zone extending for more than 20km through the western edge of the Pickle Crow area, including the Tarp Lake target and Metcalf target.
Core Mine Shear
High-grade gold targets identified relating to the Core Mine Shear include Springer Shaft Target, which produced 13koz @ 24g/t Au, F Vein Target (historic intersection of 2.4m at 21.4g/t Au) and SW Powderhouse Target (historic intersection of 6.1m at 7.3g/t Au).
Two prominent target areas, MacArthur Target and Kawinogens Target, identified from drilling around outcropping mineralisation.
East Pat Shear
Identified and drilled by previous explorer PC Gold in 2010, with intersections of 35.6m at 2.2 g/t gold and 6.0m at 7.7 g/t gold.
Auteco is completing regional field assessment of these areas ahead of proposed regional exploration drilling during April-May 2021.
